Nestled in the tranquil surroundings of Jameli village in Uttarakhand, our homestay is a labour of love that began with the desire to share with you the beauty and authenticity of rural life in its most naive form.

Run by Dr. Sujata Rawat, daughter of Lt. Col Sanand Singh Tomar(Retd.), Gorkha Regiment. A retired bank professional, she is also a qualified Allopathic Physician with 30 years of experience. This homestay in Jameli is your gateway to her father’s ancestral home – a 200-year-old property embodying Garhwal’s age-old traditions with materials like stone, mud and wood.
Once you are on her guest list, she will ensure you have the best time at her forefather’s home-turned-homestay. On days when she is not travelling for work, she loves to hang out with the guests, share local stories, and create an authentic, personalised experience for all kinds of travellers. Not to forget, you don’t have to stress about travelling to a remote village because we have a well-equipped clinic.

With mud walls, simple furniture, stone foundations, small windows, and antique arts & crafts, our ancestral library and meditation room reflect a traditional and rustic architectural style. Our rooms including Ghughuti, Monal and Bulbul Nest exude simplicity and comfort, crafted with love and a lot of patience. Named after some of the most popular birds of Jameli, each room has access to a small courtyard with an outdoor sitting area allowing guests to reconnect & rejuvenate with nature.
Enhancing your stay further, we’ve recently introduced a new room option to our homestay called the Goraiya Nest.
It is a full-bloom modern-day glass house. Crafted with a unique architectural concept this room lets you visually experience the expansive jameli life and wildlife in its entirety. The room comes with a tent facility for guests to rest up comfortably during the day especially in summer, along with a 4-side verandah.

Offering a unique farm-to-table dining experience prepared with love, this kitchen is fueled by fresh, locally sourced organic fruits and veggies, providing a true taste of Jameli cuisine including authentic Phaanu, Kandalee ka Saag, Chainsu, Baithu ka Raita, Rai ki Bhujji, Palak ki Dhabdi, Laal Bhaat, Mandwa ki Roti, Pahadi chutney and more. Our locally-hired cooks are not only well-versed with local tastes & flavours but also well-equipped to serve you as per demand. Apart from the main homestay kitchen, there is a separate kitchen attached to each room where guests can get their groceries and cook on their own.
